Esta es la puerta a la Gran Sabana, la ultima Gran Ciudad antes de la selva, si no te importa el Calor, esta Ciudad te encantar�.
Construida en 1952 como la base administrativa de la Orinoco Mining Company, desde donde embarcaba el hierro hacia los mercados internacionales. Puerto Ordaz es hoy en d�a una de las ciudades mayor crecimiento y m�s modernas del pa�s. Siendo, sin duda, la ciudad mejor planificada en Venezuela. En esta pujante ciudad se encuentran las compa��as m�s importantes para la explotaci�n y producci�n del hierro y del aluminio, principales productos de exportaci�n despu�s del petr�leo. De la uni�n de esta ciudad con San F�lix y la zona industrial nace Ciudad Guayana en 1961.

Puerto Ordaz today one of the cities with highest rate of industrial and economic growth is also one of the best planned and most modern ones in the country. Founded in 1952, as the headquarters of the Orinoco Mining Company, this city lodges the iron and aluminum industry which in Venezuela, is second only to the oil industry. From here these nowadays so vital natural resources are supplied to the worldwide market. The union of San Felix and the industrial sector of this city gave birth to Ciudad Guayana in 1961.
